Connecticut should create an ‘Office of Economic Diversity’

In an opinion editorial posted in the CT Mirror Viewpoints, CT State Council of Machinists President John Harrity proposed the creation of an Office of Economic Diversity to focus state assets on new and emerging commercial, non-defense production to guard against cyclical declines in defense spending. The new office would house the expertise to coordinate existing resources and recommend steps as needed to grow non-defense manufacturing.
