CCAT Day at the Capitol Showcases Innovation in Action | Fox 61

We brought the future of manufacturing to the heart of Hartford.

CCAT hosted the first-ever CCAT Day at the Capitol on May 22, bringing advanced technologies—including robotics, 3D printing, virtual and augmented reality, and automation—to the Capitol Rotunda for legislators and visitors to experience firsthand.

As FOX61 reports, the event featured dynamic demonstrations from CCAT and our technology partners—including a robotic dog climbing the Capitol steps—and offered a powerful reminder that Connecticut is leading the way in innovation, technology, and workforce development.

“We’ve got automation, 3D printing, VR, AR, and a lot of robots—really cool stuff,” said CCAT President and CEO Ron Angelo. “It’s not just about Connecticut, it’s about our companies and how they do business everywhere."

"Connecticut should be the epicenter of what we do for innovation and technology.”—Ron Angelo

Governor Ned Lamont toured the exhibits, emphasizing the importance of showcasing high-tech manufacturing careers to young people and their families. Senior Engineer Colette Ruden echoed our mission: to support manufacturers across the state and strengthen our industrial base.

We’re proud of the turnout, the conversations, and the connections made—and we look forward to making CCAT Day a Capitol tradition.
