Press Release: CCAT Announces Interim Chief Technology Officer

East Hartford, CT — June 27, 2025The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) announces interim leadership transition as Dr. Jackie Garofano steps down from her role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after four years of leadership.

Her vision has helped position CCAT at the forefront of advanced technology and manufacturing innovation in Connecticut and beyond.

“I believe this is the right moment for new leadership to guide CCAT’s technology strategy into the future. I remain a passionate supporter of CCAT and its mission.” said Dr. Garofano.

Effective Monday, June 30, Dr. Tom Maloney will return to CCAT as Interim CTO. A seasoned leader with decades of experience, Dr. Maloney brings deep understanding of CCAT’s mission, operations and strategic vision.
