Arthur William Sidney Herrington, was born on this day, March 30, in 1891, in Coddenham, East Suffolk, Eng. and died Sept. 6, 1970, Indianapolis, Ind., U.S.. He was an American engineer and manufacturer who developed a series of military vehicles, the best known of which was the World War II jeep.
