Build Capability. Bring It Back to Your Classroom.

CCAT’s Faculty Fellowship in Digital Transformation equips college and university faculty with practical, industry-aligned skills in digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0. Through hands-on training in our Digital Thread Lab, you’ll gain the tools, insight, and confidence to integrate modern manufacturing practices into your curriculum—and better prepare students for today’s industrial environment.

Why It Matters

Manufacturers are rapidly adopting digital technologies to improve speed, quality, and performance. This fellowship helps faculty stay current, strengthen curriculum, and better prepare students for modern manufacturing environments.

By participating, faculty gain firsthand exposure to the tools, workflows, and standards used in industry. This experience helps bridge the gap between academic instruction and real-world application—so students are ready to contribute from day one.

What Is the Digital Thread?

The digital thread connects data across the entire product lifecycle—from design to manufacturing to inspection. It creates a continuous flow of information that improves visibility, reduces errors, and helps manufacturers move faster with greater confidence.

Instead of disconnected systems and outdated drawings, a single digital model carries information forward at every stage. This supports better decisions, stronger collaboration, and more efficient production—making the digital thread a foundation for modern manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
