The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization located in East Hartford, Connecticut. Our websites provide clients with informative resources about our programs, services, and upcoming events. You can visit our websites without disclosing any information about yourself. CCAT collects web statistics of visitors for site administration purposes and analysis of usage trends.
On the occasions when we collect personal information, it is actively requested and prompted by actions of the visitor — for example, signing up to receive email alerts or completing a registration for one of our programs or events. Information collected may include name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, company name, and program-specific qualification data. For certain events, CCAT may also capture photographs and audio/visual recordings (with your consent, provided through the event registration acknowledgement) and may verify government-issued identification at check-in. Identification is verified for entry purposes only and is not copied or retained.
Information is collected on a voluntary basis and stored securely in electronic form in accordance with CCAT’s protection of its own confidential information. CCAT may add your contact information to our mailing list to provide notice of future events, grants, and/or services. Information provided through this website is available to CCAT staff. Information collected on our sites is stored and processed in the United States. CCAT does not share personal information with third parties for storage or processing without your consent, other than the service providers described above.
CCAT employs administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your data. Although we utilize every practical method of protecting your information, we cannot warrant absolute security. CCAT cannot guarantee that information provided will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of industry-standard physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Information collected from you is retained for a limited period as needed to fulfill the purposes for which we initially collected it, including grant reporting and audit requirements. CCAT retains and uses information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.
CCAT does not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from a user under the age of 13, we will delete the information from our records as soon as we discover it. For program or event participants under the age of 18, registration acknowledgements and media releases must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
CCAT may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date and, where practicable, CCAT will provide advance notice of material changes affecting previously collected information.
Participants agree to comply with all safety rules and procedures outlined in the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) Talent & Training Accelerator, including the Digital Thread Lab and Additive Training Center. Participants understand that adherence to these rules is essential to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of instructors and fellow participants.
Participants will fully cooperate with instructors and peers to maintain a safe laboratory environment and will follow all oral and written instructions provided by the instructor. All participants entering any CCAT laboratories are required to wear closed-toe and closed-back shoes. Footwear must fully cover the entire foot, including the top. If participants forget to wear the required shoes, safety toe covers will be provided.
Any violation of this safety agreement may result in unsafe conduct and could lead to removal from the laboratory or dismissal from the course without reimbursement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CCAT assumes no liability for property damage, personal injury, or death resulting from accidents or injuries that occur on CCAT premises, except to the extent caused by CCAT’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. By registering for or participating in courses at the Talent & Training Accelerator, participants waive, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any right to legal action against CCAT in the event of illness or injury occurring during or after participation.
CCAT may cancel or reschedule a paid training class with two (2) business days’ notice to registrants if the minimum number of enrollments is not reached. CCAT may cancel or reschedule a paid training class with less than two (2) business days’ notice under extenuating circumstances such as inclement weather. In the event of a cancellation or change by CCAT, registrants may transfer their paid registration to another class of equivalent value within ninety (90) days; otherwise, they will be issued a full refund.
Registrants may cancel a paid registration up to five (5) days (120 hours) before the start of training to receive a full refund. Alternatively, registrants may request to transfer their paid registration to another class of equivalent value, provided the transfer occurs within ninety (90) days of the original class date. Cancellations or transfer requests made fewer than five (5) days before the start of training, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund, and registration transfers are not guaranteed.
