Measurement Fundamentals for Advanced Manufacturing
October 25, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Join us for this in person training at CCAT’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) located at 409 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT.
Manufacturers are hiring and looking for talent who can measure parts precisely and with confidence. Boost your skills with hands-on activities using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
You will have a chance to operate more advanced, non-contact equipment, such as a structured light scanner to measure complex surfaces to within 3/10,000 of an inch. That is very small distance, and the machine is used to inspect extremely complicated parts for jet engines, medical devices and many other products made in Connecticut. The sky is the limit once you can measure.
You will learn:
- Names of commonly used measuring equipment
- How to handle equipment and use it
- Effects of alignment, pressure, temperature, and material properties
- Units of measurement including fractions, decimals, angles and weights
- Measurements interpretation with tolerances for roles in advanced manufacturing
Space is limited, register today for free.
