Instructor: Monica Perez, People & Culture Manager, CCAT
Monica Perez is the People and Culture Manager for the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology. In this role she works directly with the president and chief executive officer to establish and maintain a positive work environment that aligns with CCAT’s vision, mission, and core values. Her goal is to create an inclusive culture where all employees at all levels have a sense of belonging, feel valued, respected, heard, and supported. She also has over 10 years of experience working for non-profit organizations ranging from program management, overseeing employer and community-based partnerships and coaching others in job quality initiatives. As a leader in workforce development, Monica supports innovative business strategies that yield positive, tangible outcomes for both the employer and their teams. Bringing together her education and military experience, she’s able to use a unique lens to visualize opportunities. Monica is currently a technical sergeant in the Connecticut Air National Guard; she enlisted as a Security Forces member in June of 2008, was a combat arms instructor since 2013, and recently has been selected to become a first sergeant for the Connecticut Air National Guard and is beginning that journey alongside her work at CCAT.
