Intro to Additive Technologies for Educators

This workshop is an excellent opportunity for any educator interested in going beyond desktop 3D printing and learning about the latest technologies and future of advanced manufacturing.
Today’s manufacturing industry offers a variety of career opportunities for students with interests in art, gaming, inventing, building, and more. There are nearly 4,000 manufacturing companies in Connecticut that employ over 160,000 workers, and training for a manufacturing career is now easily accessible and facilitates a clear pathway for career growth.
In this workshop, you’ll learn about cutting-edge materials and technologies used in Additive Manufacturing and the variety of career opportunities for your students. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for any educator interested in going beyond desktop 3D printing and learning about the latest technologies and future of advanced manufacturing.
Registration is required and the cost to participate is $100 per person. Schools registering a group of ten or more participants will receive a reduced cost of $75 per person. This workshop will need a minimum of six attendees to run.

The workshop is part of CCAT’s Connecticut. Dream It. Do It. Workshops for Educators Series and will be held at CCAT’s Advanced Manufacturing Center on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
