Renishaw Ballbar Overview: Optimizing Machine Performance

Join CCAT and Renishaw for this in-person Ballbar overview class. The purpose of this interactive Ballbar class is to get users of the equipment comfortable with the mechanical operation of the QC20W Ballbar. During this workshop, we will review how to set up the Ballbar to the computer using Bluetooth, setting up the machine to run, and performing mechanical inspection of the kit to ensure everything is functioning properly.

This will be a hands on, interactive class and we will spend most of the time at a machining center.

Learning Objectives:

How to set up the Ballbar
The mechanics of the Ballbar and using the product
Learn to set the mechanical aspects of the QC20W Ballbar
Become familiar with the equipment and see how it can benefit and impact your manufacturing floor

Target Audience:  Shop Leads, Manufacturing and Process Engineers, Facilities Managers or if you are interested in exploring this equipment.

CCAT’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is located at the Raytheon Technologies Research Center which is adjacent to The Pratt & Whitney Campus at 409 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT. CCAT is an export control facility and all visitors at CCAT’s Advanced Technology Center will be required to sign in and present proof of citizenship. Acceptable forms for identification include a verified license/ID, passport, green card, or birth certificate. Visitors who are citizens of an embargoed country and do not have a valid US Green Card will not be permitted in the facility.  CCAT follows all current CDC, State of Connecticut and Town of East Hartford, CT COVID protocols and masks are required.
