Using Artificial Intelligence to Automate Computer Vision

July 7, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join CCAT as we demonstrate how Machine Vision gives industrial equipment and machines the ability to see. Discover how computers can be trained to use real time data to detect and recognize things on their own, and then take necessary actions. The benefits include:  the ability to check for errors and damages, scan for inventory and conduct parts analysis.  Machine vision can be used for material inspection, stock control, and object and pattern recognition.

This will be a deep dive demonstration on setting up a classifier and detector, using neural networks to train a data set, and consuming the neural network on an IDS NXT camera.

Learning Objectives:
– What is Machine Vision and what are the benefits
– How to use it and real world applications
– When is it worthwhile

Target Audience: Manufacturing Engineers

Presenters:
Dyami Watson, Jr.  CCAT Intern
Nasir Mannan, Principal Engineer, CCAT
