Computer Aided Machining (CAM) for Educators

May 11 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Why use CAM? How do I move from CAD to CAM? How do I set tooling and machining operations up? How do I simulate the process? How do I post out the code for use on a real machine? In this two-hour professional development course you will learn this and more! This is an entry level through intermediate course suitable for all educators.

Learning Objectives: You will be able to bring a part into the machining environment. You will be familiar with the workflow for machining a part and generating machine code to manufacture the part. You will know how to simulate the machining process and export the machine code. You will understand how to choose a post for listed machines and how to find posts for other machines too. You will understand where to find free tutorials to grow your knowledge and qualifications.
