STEM. In and Out of School.

CCAT designs STEM programs for use both in school and out of school. As a leader in best practices, all of our programs apply research-based strategies to maximize learning for all students, going beyond standards to develop career awareness and reinforce 21st century skills like collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Our staff can deliver programming directly or train and support teachers in program implementation.
Coding Connections
Hands-on learning with LEGO® robotics and WeDo™ software introduces young 3rd and 4th grade students to computer programming while at the same time reinforcing STEM skills and encouraging creative problem solving and teamwork. CCAT’s Coding Connections program engages a variety of learners through the application of engineering and programming concepts and introduces future career opportunities in high-tech fields.
STEM in action
CCAT designs workshops that allow students in grades 5-9 to experience the real-world application of STEM concepts as they explore a variety of relevant themes. Using contextual backdrops such as energy transformation and conservation, engineering design, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and 3D printing, students engage in a series of hands-on/minds-on activities that reinforce science and math skills and promote early career awareness.
Customized workshops
We can develop student workshops informed by our expertise and unique public and private partnerships that are based on your specific needs and goals. All of CCAT’s STEM curricula is modular and highly customizable, allowing for a great deal of flexibility in content, rigor, and contact hours. We can come to you, your students can visit us, or we can train your teachers for implementation.
