Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing Using Plastics – An Overview of the Technology Choices and How to Choose the Best for your Application.
July 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us for a workshop in our Additive Manufacturing Series.
Plastics (polymers) are used for a wide variety of applications in 3D printing. In addition to the filament printers everyone is familiar with, there are other technologies that may be better for certain applications and for certain materials. Choosing the best ones for your application is sometimes confusing. This webinar will provide you with an overview of what plastic printing technologies are available, best applications for each, and types of materials. Whether you are looking for an entry level printer to make rapid prototypes, or contemplating a production system that competes with plastic injection molding, this seminar will provide you with the basic information to help you understand your choices.
Target Audience: This seminar is general in nature and is designed for technical staff and management to gain a basic understanding of 3D printing plastics.
Money for Manufacturing is available for eligible CT manufacturers through grant programs. Funded by the CT Department of Economic and Community Development and administered by CCAT, these programs provide funding to implement IoT, adopt additive technologies and improve productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.
