Introduction to 3D Printing: Practical Applications for Adopting AM in Your Business
June 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us for a workshop in our Additive Manufacturing Series.
Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) is rapidly moving into mainstream manufacturing in a wide range of industries and company sizes. It can be used to fabricate end-use parts, but many manufacturers are adopting it to produce aids to manufacturing such as fixtures, jigs, assembly guides and a myriad of other uses. Whether you’re considering getting into AM as a major manufacturing tool, or to assist the manufacturing process, there are many factors that need to be considered and planned for before finalizing your decision. This seminar will look at onboarding several different types of plastic and metal printing technologies, and walk you through what each involves.
Target Audience: This introductory seminar is an overview and intended for technical and management staff.
Money for Manufacturing is available for eligible CT manufacturers through two different grant programs funded by the CT Department of Economic and Community Development and administered by CCAT. The Connecticut Manufacturing Innovation Fund Voucher Program (MVP) can provide up to $49,000 to conduct a project aimed at improving your manufacturing productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.
