As exciting as 2022 was, 2023 will be even more transformative and impactful as we kick-off and accelerate our work. As a Team, we are committed to driving industry forward and improving the social well-being of the State through the advancement of technology and promotion of a technologically advanced workforce.

The CCAT team has an intense desire to help individuals acquire valuable skills for in-demand careers so businesses can advance the technical capabilities of their workforce. In 2023, we will continue to promote impactful programs such as CareerConneCT, Maker Multiplier, Workforce Innovations, and AMEP to provide a path to rewarding careers for our next generation of highly skilled workers.

This year, CCAT’s Technical Team will continue to drive Digital Transformation and Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing throughout the industrial base in collaboration with State, Federal and Industry partners to leverage extensive programs made available through the Manufacturing Innovation Fund and DECD. Continuation of the Additive Adoption and Digital Transformation programs and Digital Model Initiative throughout 2023 promise to provide a competitive advantage to participating companies.

CCAT’s support of advancements in Energy Technology will remain strong in 2023. Although Hydrogen and Offshore Wind will continue to grab headlines, tremendous advances in Smart Manufacturing technologies that reduce energy consumption by orders of magnitude and drive costs out of manufacturing processes will continue to roll out.

CCAT’s world-class facilities will be active in 2023 offering valuable programs, workshops and demonstrations to companies, innovators, students, and academia. Leading-edge technologies will continue to be added at the Advanced Design – Automation and Metrology Lab, Additive Technology – Machining and Optimization Lab and Advanced Composite Technology Center allowing us to offering the most current manufacturing technologies to companies like yours.

Money For Manufacturing will continue to provide valuable funding in 2023 to assist small/medium sized manufacturers with critical business needs.

As individuals, we must continue to strive to better ourselves and those around us while honoring the tremendous talent we have in Connecticut. Career opportunities and access to technology should be accessible to everyone equally. This year, and every year going forward, CCAT will work hard to bring technology awareness to every manufacturing company, regardless of size or sector, and reach out to individuals and communities who have been underrepresented and unaware of the rewarding manufacturing career opportunities throughout the state.

Thank you to all those who have made CCAT a trusted partner and advisor.

Very best for a healthy and prosperous 2023,
Ron Angelo
