Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Director of Energy Initiatives Joel Rinebold was among the award winners at the U.S. Department of Energy 2018 Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation meeting for the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program on June 13. Rinebold was cited for “outstanding leadership in developing strategic roadmaps and facilitating the adoption of hydrogen and fuel cells in the Northeastern region of the United States.” Read more.
CCAT focuses on energy and infrastructure planning, the development of renewable and advanced energy technology, and economic development associated with energy management. Rinebold was instrumental in establishing the Connecticut Hydrogen Fuel Cell Coalition and the Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster. Most recently, the Hartford Business Journal published his op-ed focusing on the future of the fuel cells industry in Connecticut.
