Among displayed technologies were additive manufacturing cells for creating metal and plastic parts, an ultra-sonic cell for machining ceramic and composites material, a hybrid manufacturing cell combining additive and subtractive technology in one work space, structured light scanning, 5-axis precision machining cells and more. He also viewed several of his company’s research and development projects under way at the AMC. With headquarters in East Hartford, Conn., Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units.
