ASML, a leading manufacturer of computer chip technology, is planning a substantial expansion of its Wilton manufacturing, research and development center, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Thursday.
The company’s 300,000-square-foot facility in Connecticut will grow its operations by more than 500 jobs over the next eight years, adding to the center’s workforce of 1,222 employees, Malloy said. The Wilton site currently houses about 7 percent of the international company’s total workforce of 16,500 full-time employees.
