The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) is a nonprofit corporation that serves as a unique economic development center of excellence for the region, state and nation.
CCAT offers a wide range of services to a diverse base of customers that spans manufacturers, high technology firms, small businesses and entrepreneurs, educators and public policy makers. CCAT's expertise focuses on three core areas: efficiencies, workforce development and technology. All of CCAT's initiatives and programs are geared toward improving efforts in at least one of those three areas. Our core programs address military and civilian industrial manufacturing needs, promote energy planning and policy initiatives, stimulate innovation and improve workforce development efforts -- particularly those geared toward technology competitiveness. CCAT is also actively involved in researching and field-testing how advances in lasers, nanotechnology, computational modeling and next-generation manufacturing can aid the competitive needs of U.S. industry. We foster innovation, entrepreneurship and new business creation by partnering with organizations that can engage students, enhance technical competence and encourage innovation and enterprise. CCAT's mission is to provide services and resources to our clients that help them implement innovative solutions, increase efficiencies and improve workforce development, and through collaboration with industry, academia and government, seek to create new partnerships for addressing 21st century economic challenges.
Our vision is to be acknowledged by our clients as the “go to” resource for improving America’s competitiveness and as the “best practices” partner for organizations and businesses with a technology focus. We will deliver value-added programs efficiently and effectively, with a bold entrepreneurial spirit, and attract the best and brightest people to our collaborative culture and landmark facilities.
