2012 CONNECTICUT QUALITY SYMPOSIUM
Addressing the Journey for Performance Excellence in Business Today
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – In business today, quality performance impacts bottom-line success from operations to customer service to accounting to products and the journey to improve competitiveness and excel is constant.
On June 22, industry executives will learn from the experts about Malcolm Baldrige award-winning quality processes, how to improve workplace safety, revolutionary automated part inspection technology, and how to lead in an ever-changing work environment at the Connecticut Quality Council’s 2012 Connecticut Quality Symposium, presented by Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain from 7:30a.m.-3:00p.m.
In the opening keynote address, Lucy Young, director performance excellence & system initiatives at Henry Ford Health System (HFHS), will share the story of how they used the Malcolm Baldrige framework as a key organizational change strategy. HFHS, one of the nation’s leading comprehensive, integrated health systems, is a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Winner.
The Ford Motor Company’s quality journey will be told in a pre-luncheon keynote by Jay Zhou, Ph.D., executive leader for global quality at Ford. Zhou will expound about the quality processes employed by the company worldwide. He will examine the quality operating system at Ford, governance & operational excellence plans, and the results and lessons learned.
