CCAT Names Mansfield as Director of NCAL

The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. is pleased to welcome Brigadier General Robert E. Mansfield, Jr., USAF (retired) as Director of the National Center for Aerospace Leadership (NCAL).  Previously, Mr. Mansfield was with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as their Director of Global Supply Chain Services.  Mr. Mansfield brings to CCAT 34 years of experience in logistics planning, operations and supply chain management.  His Air Force career includes acting as a product director, director of distribution, and serving as the Air Force Director of Supply.  He previously spearheaded the effort to introduce best commercial business practices into U.S. Military supply chain operations.  Mr. Mansfield holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in acquisition logistics management.

 

As Director of NCAL, Mr. Mansfield will lead the tri state consortium, comprised of companies in Connecticut, Ohio and Pennsylvania, which administer a federally funded program, the National Aerospace Leadership Initiative (NALI).  He will be responsible for developing and launching programs consistent with the NALI mission to focus on the critical role of the U.S. manufacturing supply chain.


Mr. Mansfield has been described as a “creative communicator” with “innovative approaches”. “We are excited to welcome Mr. Mansfield and we are confident that Mr. Mansfield’s celebrated vision and leadership will propel NCAL forward to become a globally recognized center of excellence in the aerospace industry,” stated Elliot Ginsberg, CCAT’s CEO.
