CCAT's National Center for Aerospace Leadership (NCAL) is a partnership between U.S. industry, academia and government teams, which leads a consortium companies from Connecticut, Ohio and Pennsylvania. NCAL's mission is to respond to the critical needs of the U.S. aerospace manufacturing supply chain. As part of that mission, NCAL conducts, researches and field-tests new manufacturing technology to evaluate potential new applications in the aerospace supply chain. NCAL encompasses two significant programs: Modeling & Simulation and the Laser Applications Laboratory. Modeling & Simulation (M&S) works with companies to find new more efficient ways to use their factory, equipment and other resources to improve profitability and competitiveness. The Laser Applications Laboratory (LAL) conducts research on new methods of incorporating lasers into the manufacturing supply chain. In addition, NCAL also works to enhance the pipeline of workers skilled in advanced manufacturing. To see a complete list of all services CCAT offers to manufacturing companies, click here.
