On Sunday, June 6, 2010, The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology and East Hartford ChildPlan, Inc. sponsored Lemonade Day!
Lemonade Day introduced kids to entrepreneurship! Lemonade Day was a city-wide event that encouraged kids to start a lemonade stand and sell their lemonade. Schools, community groups, and businesses were all involved, along with the entire community!
It was a free and fun event where kids go to make and keep the money that they earn from selling their lemonade. Kids of all ages learn to set goals, develop a business plan, seek investors, provide customer service, establish a budget, and give back to their community.
Lemonade Day handed out great life lessons for kids which they can utilize throughout their life while they are having fun experimenting with lemonade recipes, and selling the lemonade!
