On October 22, 2009, CCAT was awarded for Excellence in Technology-Based Economic Development (TBED) by the State Science and Technology Institute (SSTI). CCAT was presented this award during a ceremony at SSTI's 13th Annual Conference in Overland Park, Kansas.
This award identifies CCAT's approach to workforce development. In 2008, CCAT received its first TBED award for its efforts to bring enhanced efficiency and competitiveness in the region's aerospace supply chain. This is the second straight year that CCAT has been recognized by SSTI's judges.
