WORKSHOP SYNOPSIS:
Joseph Juran, challenged leaders in an ever-changing world to do the following if they wanted their organizations to remain competitive:
- Build awareness of the need and opportunity for improvement
- Set goals for improvement and organize to reach them
- Carry out projects to solve problems
- Report progress
- Provide training
- Give recognition
- Communicate results
- Maintain momentum by making improvement part of the regular systems and processes of the company
In order to stay competitive, company leaders must be able to define the changes they need, champion and support the changes, prepare and train people, communicate at all levels, develop action and project plans that are attainable and sustainable, monitor, reward and recognize progress, provide consequences for failure or resistance to change.
Participants will:
- Identify and document the changes they want to make
- Identify the leadership partnerships necessary and skills required
- Assess manager and employee readiness and skill requirements the for change desired
- Develop reward and consequences strategies
- Develop communication strategies/ monitoring action plans
